FAQs: Fit and Engagement.

Who we work with, how we're different, and how to tell if Crew is the right partner for your team.

What kinds of companies does Crew work with?

Crew works with growth-stage B2B companies, usually Series A through C, where the website is a real growth lever but the team is too lean to own design, development, and optimization in-house. Most of our clients are led by a marketer or founder who wants the site to perform, without babysitting every update. If you're looking for a long-term website partner rather than a one-and-done vendor, we're probably a fit.

Do you primarily work with B2B startups or more established companies?

Both. We've worked with pre-revenue startups launching their first real marketing site and Series C-E companies doing full-scale redesigns. The common thread isn't company size. It's that the website matters to the business and the team wants a partner who treats it that way. If your site is a growth lever (not a brochure), we're in the right territory.

Do you work with companies outside SaaS or tech?

Yes. Most of our clients are B2B SaaS or tech companies, but we've also worked with healthtech, fintech, professional services, and other industries where the buying process is considered and the website needs to earn trust. The principles are the same: clear positioning, strong design, fast performance, and content that actually converts. If you're selling to a thoughtful buyer, the approach translates.

Are you a fit for lean marketing teams without an in-house website owner?

Yes, and this is one of the most common setups we work with. A lot of our client partners have a marketing lead or founder who owns the website strategically but doesn't have the bandwidth to manage design, development, and optimization day to day. That's the gap we fill. We become the website team, so you don't have to build one.

Are you the right partner if we already have brand and copy?

Absolutely. If you've invested in a strong brand identity and clear messaging, we'll build on that foundation rather than reinventing it. We'll work within your brand guidelines, voice, and visual system. Having those locked in before we start tends to accelerate the project and produce tighter results.

Are you a fit if we already have a website and don't need a full redesign?

Yes. Not every site needs a teardown. Sometimes the foundation is solid and what you need is targeted improvements: better conversion flows, updated messaging, new landing pages, CMS cleanup, performance tuning, or AI visibility work. Our retainer model is built for exactly this kind of ongoing optimization.

Can we hire Crew just for strategy, design, or Webflow support?

Yes. While most of our engagements are full-scope (strategy through launch and beyond), we also take on focused projects. Some clients bring us in just for CMS architecture and Webflow development. Others want a positioning sprint before committing to a redesign. We'll scope the engagement to what you actually need.

How do I know if my B2B website needs a redesign?

A few things: your site doesn't reflect your current positioning or product, conversion rates are flat or declining, the design feels dated compared to competitors, your team can't make updates without a developer, or buyers are telling you the site doesn't match the experience of working with you. If two or more of those are true, a redesign is probably overdue.

What should I look for in a Webflow agency?

Look for a team that treats Webflow as a growth platform, and leverages all of its capabilities. That means they should understand CMS architecture, performance, SEO, accessibility, and integrations, not just visual design. Check whether they're a Webflow Partner (we're an Enterprise Premium Partner), whether they handle strategy and copy or just execute, and whether they stick around after launch to help you optimize.

What makes Crew different from a larger agency or a freelancer?

A large agency gives you process and overhead. A freelancer gives you flexibility but limited range. Crew sits in the middle: senior-level work across strategy, design, development, and growth, without the bloated team or the gaps. We're small enough that our founder is in every project, and experienced enough that we've shipped for growth stage and enterprise companies like Prenuvo, Rasa, Skilljar, and Privacy.com.

Who will I actually be working with at Crew?

Crew is a founder-led and senior-only team. Jordan leads strategy and client relationships directly. Depending on scope, you'll also work with our senior designers, developers and technical leads, and sometimes creative or content strategists. You won't be handed off to a junior account manager - the people doing the work are who you'll work with.

Do you work with international clients?

Yes. We've worked with clients across the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, and work with client partners in every time zone. Most of our collaboration happens async through Slack, Loom, and a shared project management tool, with live working sessions scheduled around time zones. We also support Webflow Localize for multi-language sites if your audience spans regions.
